Dr. Abramson, known as Dr. A to his team and patients, opened Modern Dentistry in 2008 with a clear vision: to create a dental practice built on exceptional patient care, clinical excellence, and modern technology. He and his team continue to carry that vision forward by treating every patient with the same warmth, respect, and attention they would give to family.
Dr. A has called the DC area home since 2008. Outside the office, he stays busy with his two boys and enjoys biking, tennis, golf, and rock climbing — often spending weekends at local climbing gyms. He takes pride in being a dentist in Washington DC.

Dr. Nisha Tamhankar joined Modern Dentistry in 2016, shortly after moving to DC from New Jersey. Dr. Nisha is dedicated to providing clinically excellent dentistry while prioritizing patient communication, comfort, and education. Always a great experience at Modern Dentistry! Christina did a scan of my teeth, showing all the detail, then did a thorough cleaning. An old filling had to be removed and redone and Dr. A was able to do it right away. Two appointments in one! Plus they booked my cleanings for all of 2025. Big smiles from me!
Love Modern Dentistry. The staff here make all the difference in the world. They are knowledgeable and friendly and so welcoming. The front office staff in particular are really wonderful. They make complicated things like billing seem like a breeze and even reached out to a previous dentist of mine to get my X-ray records transferred. They really go above and beyond. Highly recommend!
